Intro to Model Building – discussion of the use of different adhesives, tools, paints and safety concerns.

Show and Tell- showing your finished model, discuss other models and visit to the Oswego Railroad Museum.

-With Jonel Langenfeld-Rial, Professor of Theatre and Theatre in education at SUNY Oswego, who brings a rich history of performance and storytelling experience to this annual tradition.

"Oswego Canal Festival"

Join us for a FREE fun filled Labor Day Weekend & help celebrate the New York State Barge Canal System.
The activities will center around Oswego's very own piece of canal history, the museum's renovated 1925 NYS Derrick Boat No. 8.

Featured, will be the canal schooner Lois McClure, of the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum and their tug C.L. Churchill.

The National Historic Landmark WWII Tug, LT-5, the schooner OMF Ontario and the Eleanor D will also be prominent, with free on board tours or dockside viewing.
Presentations and activities will be held outside and will be free as well.
 
The Museum building admission will be a nominal fee of $3 for adults, kids 16 and under free (with adult).

Gingerbread Craft Workshop For Kids

Come help us trim the Christmas tree and experience a fun "old fashioned" holiday activity. Kids decorate two gingerbread ornaments, made out of real gingerbread cookies. One will go on the Museum tree and one is for YOU to take home! Appropriate for ages 3 and up. $3/child. Limited space; RSVP required by November 8.
